There is no single approach to psychotherapy that works for everyone. Mental health professionals are trained in various theoretical frameworks, and many utilize an integrative approach, blending techniques to best suit the client's needs. Here is a brief overview of some of the most common therapeutic modalities.
Psychodynamic therapy is the foundation of my clinical approach. Together, we'll explore how past experiences, early relationships, and unconscious patterns continue to shape your emotions, relationships, and sense of self today. By developing a deeper understanding of these underlying dynamics, we can create meaningful, lasting change rather than simply addressing symptoms.
Narrative therapy helps clients examine the stories they tell themselves about who they are and how they relate to others. Together, we identify patterns and beliefs that may no longer serve you, creating space to rewrite those narratives in ways that are more authentic, compassionate, and aligned with your values.
While insight is an important part of the therapeutic process, lasting change also requires practical tools. When appropriate, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and approach life's challenges with greater flexibility and confidence.
I believe that healing happens within the context of a strong therapeutic relationship. Drawing from a humanistic approach, I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. This foundation allows for greater self-exploration, emotional growth, and lasting change.
For clients working toward specific behavioral goals, I may incorporate behavioral interventions to help reinforce healthier habits, improve emotional regulation, and support meaningful change in daily life. These strategies are always tailored to your unique needs and integrated within the broader context of our work together.
